In all its extent, this is a project that will bring high benefits to the sectorial, regional and national levels, resulting in improvement to the infrastructure and living standards of the population, generating a scenario favorable to new businesses and enhancing the participation of Portugal in the context of European iron mining.
- About 420 direct jobs;
- About 800 indirect jobs;
- Construction of the ore pipeline;
- Implementation of an investigation and development center in the Northeastern region of Trás-os-Montes, with partnerships with local and international institutions of higher education;
- Improvements in railways and waterways;
- Increase activity in Atlantic ports and in many other sectors of the economy;
- Economic activity which does not run out in the short term, nor can it be relocated.
